Amazon Trapeze Itinerary - Iquitos - Leticia (Colombia) and Tabatinga (Brasil)
Amazon Trapeze - Cruise A Iquitos - Leticia/Colombia, Tabatinga/Brasil4 Day / 3 night Cruise – Friday through Monday Day 1, FRIDAY: Departure from Iquitos mid day (12:30 pm)  Passengers arrival from the airport and transfer to the dock. Boarding “EL Arca”, Captain of the ship will welcome passengers making a toast and will share information on safety standards and security on board. We will depart from Iquitos being guided by the tour guide. Lunch on board as we cruise the Amazon River. We will visit the Trapiches and try the liquour from sugar cane, we will continue down river. At night we will be dinning as the guide describes the plans for tomorrow. You can observe the immesity of the amazon sky and stars from our observation area on board. L,D Day 2, SATURDAY: 
Early in the morning passengers will enjoy some coffee or tea before the expedition on a small boat for bird watching on Ampiyacu river. Guide will explain about the characteristics of each bird specie. After we will return to “El Arca” for breakfast continuing to visit the Village of the Ocainas (a mix between the Boras and Huitotos natives) and we will be surprised with the locals, they will show their handicraft made with local materials and shares their dances with the passengers. Thanks to our visit this people keep their customs. Passengers will have the chance to buy or trade some souvenirs, then we will return to the ship and head to village of Pevas, we will make a short city tour, where passengers can take pictures of the beautiful landscapes. After lunch we will walk through the jungle near Shishita River, the guide will make an explanation of the usage of local plants and trees as medicine. We will return to the ship for dinner, if the weather is good we will have a night excursion in search of caymans and other nocturnal animals. B,L,D Day 3, SUNDAY:  In the morning we will make an excursion on a small boat to watch the aquatic plants called Victoria Regia, after we get to “El Arca” and enjoy breakfast, we will visit the village of Paranaquiro or Santa Rita Mochila, depending on the season. After we will lunch on board and then cruise through black water lagoon called Caballococha on the Peruvian side or cruise through Atacuari on the Colombian side (depending of the season). We will make an excursion in search of the famous piranha, we will have the chance to watch pink and gray dolphins. After dinner we will make another excursion to listen to the sounds of the jungle and watch the animals that appear in the night. We will cruise all night through the Amazon River.
B,L,D Day 4, MONDAY: Arrives in Santa Rosa - Peru in the morning (8:00 am) In the morning we will arrive to village of Santa Rosa in Peru where the 3 frontiers are located  (Perú, Colombia and Brazil). Breakfast on board. After that we will cross the river on a speed boat and visit the cities of Leticia in Colombia or Tabatinga in Brasil, these two commnunities are very colorful and both languages are spoken, portuguese and spanish. This will be the end of the program for passengers who have taken the Iquitos-Frontiers program.

Amazon Trapeze - Cruise B Iquitos - Leticia/Colombia, Tabatinga/Brasil 4 Day / 3 night Cruise – Monday through Thursday Day 1, MONDAY: Departure from Santa Rosa-Peru in the afternoon (6:00 pm)  The rest of the passengers will embark to “Amazon Journey” at 4:00 pm. Once on board “Amazon Journey” the new passengers will be welcomed, and their cabins will be assigned. The boat Depature from Santa Rosa (Perú) (6: 00 pm.). Dinner on board. Explaining the guidelines of the program to be held the following day. B,D Day 2, TUESDAY:  Early in the morning we will do some bird watching, then we will make a small hike where you can intern yourself in the jungle and see the variety of plants and trees in our Amazonia, our guide will explain about the characteristics of all species observed. Before lunch we visit the picturesque village of San Pablo, where it will be an optional visit Leprosy Hospital managed by French-Canadian nuns, where you can buy handicrafts made by the patients themselves. Back to the ship for lunch we will depart from San Pablo Island towards Peruate Island, where after dinner we will start an excursion on boat in search of alligators and nocturnal animals. B,L,D Day 3, WEDNESDAY:  Breakfast on board. Then visit the Village of Pucaurquillo, on the banks of the River Ampiyacu, home of Boras / Huitotos we will observe their traditional dresses, their dances and crafts. We will have another opportunity to buy some handicrafts and cooperate with its traditional culture, we recommend bringing something to exchange (pens, poles, medicines, etc.). After, passengers who wish may swim in the refreshing waters of the Rio Ampiyacu. Lunch and return to the boat. Then make a small boat tour and if the weather permits piranha fish in the waters of the Black River Apayacu. Dinner back to the boat. B,L,D Day 4, THURSDAY: Arrive in Iquitos in the afternoon (2:00 pm)  Breakfast on Board. Then we will visit the Monkey Island, where you can learn more about the Amazon Rain Forest. Lunch on Board. Arrival at the city of Iquitos for transfer to the airport / hotel. Iquitos is a city known mainly for the interesting history of the era of rubber. B,L
